Get to Know Me!

I’m Juan Medrano, and since high school, I have furthered my education at Johnson County Community College and at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I’ve had an interest in graphic design since high school, and I continue to have an interest now as well as an interest in UX design.
My work involves many ways in which I express myself as well as how I see the world around me. It consists of digital artwork as well as several paintings, drawings, and photography. My main focus, however, is graphic design. I enjoy using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Fresco, and am, now, learning to further my skills in Figma. I have a large interest in digital illustration and editing photography. I enjoy the tasks of prototyping and consistently making edits to my pieces. I undergo creating several drawings before deciding which to draw digitally.
Some projects I have completed include creating an album cover, and I have also created zines, which are small magazines. Other projects consisted of recreating an instruction guide doing, somewhat, the same for an advertisement flyer. However, based on these projects, I plan to continue working with illustrations as well as advertisements. I find that graphic design is useful in the advertising industry, so I hope to continue working along these areas.
There is also a multiplicity of other projects that I have done in the past, and I will continue to work on in my career as a graphic designer and a UX designer.
